.
Today we had the morning free to explore Trouville, and we found it to be a very likable place. After breakfast, we headed out down the main street, with our first stop at the fish market.

The fish market is right in the center of town, with the fishing boats docked right behind. No doubt about this stuff being fresh.

This picture was taken from the fish market – there’s an RV park across the water and in the background is the casino, with our hotel to the left.

We spent our time just wandering around town. The narrow, twisting streets and alleyways hint at the town’s origins as a medieval fishing port.

Les Plances is a long stretch of seafront boardwalk dotted with concessions on one side and overlooking the sea on the other. Here’s a group of kids on an outing to the beach.

Past the concessions, there are some lovely (big) houses.

And finally, it was time to load up and head back to Paris. At a rest stop, Margaret got up close and personal with a load of hay.

We got back to the city about 4:30 PM and settled in for one last night – this time at the Park Inn at the Charles de Gaulle Airport. The whole gang was in the restaurant for dinner – lots of funny stories, address exchanges, and goodbyes.
